Bob Barker

It was on Christmas morning, when he was twelve years old, that his mother gave him one of the best presents he had ever received - an oil painting set. That was the start and he has been painting ever since. He was immediately captivated by what could be achieved with a brush, some oil paint and a few small squares of hardboard. In his part of the country, with the subjects he paints, most people see soot blackened stone and polluted skies. He sees colour. He views the world, along with his memories, in the subtle blended hues of his paint box.
